Tillsonburg Minor Baseball welcomes entrants from centers classified "A" and below to register for this years tournament. The tournament will be played on our 2 recently renovated, full size grass infield diamonds, with covered dugouts for the players. Both diamonds have ample parking close to the diamond and are within close proximity to other activities for siblings or in between games...ie, skate park, pimp track, outdoor water park & a dog park for the furry family members. Possibility of night games to be played under the lights on Sam Lamb diamond. OBA rules to apply.
There will also be a food truck on site.
Rules and Information:
2 points per win
No infield practice prior to game start will be permitted, ground balls can be done from infield territory and fly balls in the outfield
Home team will be decided by a coin flip, team furthest away geographically will call the toss
home team is responsible for entering pitch counts and catchers for both teams, this can be done live in game.
No new innings after 2 hours in round robin play
If two hour time limit is reached and teams finish inning tied then an additional inning will be played and is considered "extra innings" regardless of what the actual inning is
extra innings will start with the last 2 designated batters from the previous inning on 1st and 2nd base respectively (per OBA Rule RP 2.14)
All Games will finish with a winner no ties
Sunday Games, no time limit 7 innings
In the event of inclement weather, game times could be reduced and inning limit restricted this will be at the discretion of the tournament convenor
Other than noted above, OBA tournament rules will be followed
