We want to provide you with an important update.
Unfortunately, turnout at the U11 tryouts was low, and there is no viable solution to run a standalone U11 team this season. While a decision was made at a time to have both a U10 and U11 team, circumstances have since changed.
Moving forward, Trevor Stuyt will be the head coach of the NOW combined U11 team for the 2026 season, and we will not be pursuing a U10 SCBA team.
Like other age groups, the U11 group will be a double-age team. This means both U10 (2016) and U11 (2015) players are eligible to attend tryouts.
We understand that both U10 and U11 tryouts have already taken place. However, with this new direction, all previous U10 and U11 tryouts are considered null and void. We welcome all U10 and U11 players to attend the upcoming tryouts, which will be posted on the website calendar in the next day or two.
We know this change may cause frustration for some, and for that we sincerely apologize. It was never our intention to make a mid-tryout adjustment. Please know that TMBI and its board members always do their best to consider all perspectives and make the best decision for the majority.
We’d also like to remind families that Local League U11 now includes live pitching. If your child does not make the rep team, there is no shame in playing Local League. Our Local League program is designed to be the feeder system for our competitive teams. At the end of the day, this is a game, these are children, and our goal is to provide baseball opportunities to players at all skill levels.
